It's a Jupiter 8m by KMZ (external link), the 3 is a f1.5 the 8 is the f2.0

I use one on my Sony A7 and love it.

Thank you!

If you can find the M39 SLR version that will work on a DSLR, what you have is the L39 or Contax version. Which only works normally on a mirrorless, on a DSLR it will only be macro.

Here's some more shots I've taken with it.

I'm loving that beautiful background separation on your images, Maverick. Seems like a pleasurable lens to use.

You have Contax mount Jupiter 8m as for as I could see it from picture of the lens you have.
Yours is newer model, old one has red П.
Hard to see logo on yours. Looks like Arsenal Kiev.

About KMZ Jupiter-3. It is new version of old lens which is manufactured by KMZ recently for Lomography label and distribution. Original KMZ made Jupiter-3 was manufactured and Zonnar Krasnogorsk in 54-56. After 56 it was made by ZOMZ and Valday factories, not KMZ.

My favorite thing about it is I have the L39 version so whenever I want to minimize the focus distance I can just unscrew the lens and voila.

The Industar 61 is actually the best out of these lenses, should have never sold mine. In the UK and Russia you can get them dirt cheap but out here they go for 10 times as much. Which is still cheap actually compated to other third party Leica stuff.
