I doubt anyone does much more B&W than me, but sometimes color just adds to the image. I didn't see any place to post color street work so I'm starting this. Anyone?

I've placed color street photos in the urban candids thread, which gets regular activity. But it's not exclusively color.

Nice stuff, Air.

I think we tend to see the same, and I've noticed we tend to comment similarly also. (I think it's InPhoto that is another, and so was my friend Denoir, but he's done with Canon and here.) Thanks for contributing.

Thanks for the kind words and I am done with Canon to but still post here..

All Leica M now. M Mono (original) M-E and M 262. Nothing like a rangefinder for the street (in my opinion)

I see you are a Bauhaus alum?

One of my professors went to RISD after Callahan and Siskind left Chicago for Rhode Island. The reason I mention that, as you know, Bauhaus came to Chicago (School of Design) which was swallowed up by IIT where both Siskind and Callahan taught. BTW great Siskind exhibit at the Art Institute Chicago now and on a side note Gordon Parks has a really strong exhibit there now also.

Yes, ID/Bauhaus alumni. 79. Siskind was my lecturer, David Plowden my thesis advisor. Thanks for the AI exhibit tip. I was there a few months ago and the photo exhibit belonged in a trash can.

I never loved my Leica M cameras. I loved the R, until I had 2 lenses go belly up and too many body failures. My choice was a Kodak digital back or a whole new 1Ds system. No great regret, but a little one. Maybe its time for an M with 28 and 50— the universe has been talking to me.

So you were here in Chicago (IIT campus)?
