And its not a butterfly but its been posted in this thread and i FINALLY got one after seeing tons of local photograph friends getting them....Clear Winged Hummingbird Moth

We get them in the UK, the pose is unusual (very good photo by the way) but I have seen them often in my garden in London

I don't think they come this far north! Do you know a good web site for identifying caterpillars (in the UK)? I spotted a black caterpillar with orange stripes but can't find it on a search.
