A tiny moth. I saw exactly where it landed but when I went there to take a closer look, I couldn't tell if what I saw was a living thing or just a bit of dirt. Until I saw it magnified in my camera's rangefinder.

A few years ago I bought a kit so I could raise some Swallowtail Butterflies (Papilio machaon) and this is a frame with the Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens set to about 2x.

Tech Specs: Canon 80D (F11, 1/250, ISO 100) + a Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens (set to 2x) + a diffused MT-26EX-RT with a Kaiser adjustable flash shoe on the "A" head (the key), E-TTL metering, -1/3 FEC). This is a single, uncropped, frame taken hand held. In post I used Topaz Sharpen AI and Clarity in that order.

It is not often I can get too close to a butterfly without it flying off but this one landed on my tent today and wasn't too bothered by me (for a few minutes)
