I think that it is a female Clouded Sulphur. The red/pink fringe around the wings is what identifies it as a female. These butterflies seldom sit still long enough to get an image. Thanks for sharing.

I have since been told (by someone who really knows her butterflies) that this is a female Orange Clouded Sulphur. And that they love Ironweed, which is what this specimen is sitting on.

This is only the second one that i had ever seen with both of them being in August 2016 and roughly 10 miles apart.
This is only my second summer looking for butterflies though.

I took these with a with Canon 6D with Canon 100mm 2.8. I prefer to go for a shallow DOF. I wish I knew what they were called. Taken at Discovery Gardens in Dallas, Texas yesterday.

THis showed up in my backyard this afternoon - I think it's a Gray's Comma, or an Eastern Comma, either of which is unusual for my county in Maryland.
