don't know what this is - looked like a plain old yellow butterfly until I got it at a different angle. Would appreciate an ID if anyone knows. It never did open up while I had it in view

I think that it is a female Clouded Sulphur. The red/pink fringe around the wings is what identifies it as a female. These butterflies seldom sit still long enough to get an image. Thanks for sharing.
