Naughty time busy

My first time out this year butterflying i only was a few. Here is my best shot of a Western Pine Elfin.
F/8 and around 1:PM.

I was thinking of printing this one. Does it look to noisy in the greens, too saturated or over sharpened? It was very sharp to begin with. I just did a few LR edits. I wish i was at F/11 for a little more DOF, but it is still acceptable. I see i still need to fix that brown spot on the needle just behind the butterfly. How is the composition, i did crop quite a bit as well as this is a small butterfly.

It looks OK to me, but I might move the Bfly a bit more to the right. As for sharpening, why sharpen noise if you don't have to? There are several ways to sharpen, but generally, I only sharpen the part of the image that will benefit the most, & that also results in a smaller file size at the same Quality setting. You should be able to do something similar in LR.

Looks OK to me, don't worry.

I have noticed dark very deep greens can look noisy in some of my shots, don't know if this is a Canon thing. Having said that I very rarely do NR.

I do think we obsess too much about low noise and super sharpness. Even my most crap shot on a DSLR is better technically than my old Kodachrome 64 slides.

Image content, composition and lighting "should" be more important than technical perfection. I guess both is always nice.

Here is a Pacific Fritillary that i got last week. I had about 2 min to work with him and had a bit too shallow DOF for the above wing.
This is my first find in my area as i am on the outskirts of its location.
The pink on it's under wing is what makes it the Pacific variation.
