"Snowflakes" when using A7R2's AF-S

Just want to check if this is normal.
I get snowflakes on my AF points (using AF-S) when using an L lens and MC-11 adapter but not on a native FE lens.
On native FE lens, I only get snowflakes when I use AF-C. Is this normal?
