Last conversion! ran out of conversion supplies, tried two new suppliers and they're not up to par so this will be my last 135mm conversion. I was the only person in the world who replaced the inner plastic seal with a bronze unit, to eliminate oil leakage. Only person who shimmed them for a perfect fit, this specific one took me 3 hours of fitting, filling, cutting, gluing,etc... to get it just right. Before It would just be under an hour but the suppliers now are making them super bad so I have to fix their errors, which means it's just not fun anymore so if you've wanted one this is your LAST chance.

TRADES: Need a Samyang/Rokinon/Vivitar/Bower 14mm 2.8 full frame lens, will trade for this lens and a Tamron 28mm 2.8.
Nothing else as far as trades.

I'd buy your lens but I don't know how well I'd be able to manually focus. For someone younger, I think it would be a great way to get the 135mm focal length.

I have terrible eyesight(-3 prescription) and I always nail focus. I do use the live view method though.

a) Depending on your Canon DSLR, you can install Magic Lantern. one feature is Focus Peeking (lit-up pixels in-focus) to fine-tune MF w/o second guessing.
b) Many Sony Mirrorless (such as a6000), or DSLRS w/ EVF, have Focus Peeking as a standard feature

these older lenses have a much more forgiving focus ring. Notice on the pic above the distance from 10 feet to 15 feet, on a modern AF lens that distance would be much smaller and not give you room for error in turning the ring.

i bought a 50mm 2.0 from maverick75 a year ago and have been more than happy with the price/performance of this thing. Here is a shot i took a month or so ago of a magnolia flower in my front yard. I was perched near the top of a ladder and was still able to grab focus, albeit with a faster shutter speed and higher ISO than i might have used with my feet on the ground.

ISO 1600 1/200 either at 2.0 or 2.8 (no half stops on this 50)

It is the Made in Korea version, which is the easiest to decode since there has only ever been one Korean manufacturer of manual glass. The infamous Samyang! The Japanese versions were made by Tomioka, Ricoh and Mamiya, I've owned all and they're pretty much identical in performance.
