That's because it is centered. If the fly fisherman was modeling for the shot, the photographer would probably ask him to have the landing net positioned off to one side or the other (even if that isn't how fishermen really have it positioned when they're fishing).

You might moved so you were at an angle to the fisherman the net hanging in the back would.e have been as noticeable
although moving might not have been possible. I would have been concerned with his back cast from your position. regardless
it is a nice shot and I'm sure that the fisherman would have been pleased with it.
