This is the first "action" shot I've taken with the 5D Mark III. I'm NOT an action oriented photographer, unless you count keeping up with kids for pictures. I also rarely use the 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM. So this was all, basically, new territory for me.
Also, I've seen this (or at least, "a") Black Skimmer across the street from my house, fishing, one other time and thought it would be cool to try and capture a picture or two. So when I saw it yesterday morning while saying bye to my wife and kids, I ran inside, grabbed the camera, switched it to Shutter Priority while jogging back outside, didn't change the AF case because I didn't have time and snapped a few pictures and then it flew away. Given that the AF case wasn't ideal and that this really isn't my thing, I thought the picture turned out okay.

Thoughts? Feedback? If I had an additional minute, I would have switched to something like case 5, I think. Seem right?
