Been keeping an eye out for these critters. Finally saw one on my patio door and grabbed my camera (with a dead battery vmad) and my flash (with dying batteries vmad) and quickly set up for a few. This jumper was always on the move, I definitely have more respect for those who can get great close-up photos of these guys! Not sure on ID, I could use some help:

Congratulations on the find. Lovely set. They are a bit easier to work with when they are settled onto a leaf waiting for prey to come by ;)

It was great, I was lying on the cement deck and chasing him around the threshold and vertical surfaces of the door.

Thank you. Now that I know they're around I just need to find one in a more natural setting.

Congrats on the jumper :)

You did better than I do with them when they are on the move.

Congrats on the jumper! :-) I'm going to say Genus Habronattus. Too many similar Groups after that for me. I believe I've photographed the same here in Las Vegas. Looks a lot like image #4 here: https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=11729213

Hard to shoot sometimes, but worth it. They're some of my favorite macro subjects due to their "personality."

Thank you Bas and Moose. That shot does look similar. I'll take a look at that Genus.
