I don't usually shoot "people", but joined a buddy to visit a 1940's theme Black Country Museum (external link) weekend.

The "Black Country" is an area to the west of Birmingham, UK, that was the heart of the industrial revolution in the West Midlands - the "black" refers to the coal dust that covered the area at the time.

The sun was harsh and hot all day, but these "re-enactors" stayed in uniform and kept in character. All the above photos are candid - I'm quite pleased with them.
