I picked up an EOS-M for family things and times I dont want to drag around my 7d MkII. Looking for lens suggestions from anyone who has used this camera. I have the adapter for EF and EF-S lenses already. Have a nice selection now but looking for something longer than 18-55 that is compact. Any thoughts?

18-55STM and 55-250STM. That's about as light and compact as you can get.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Have the 18-55 IS STM. The 55-200 IS STM is f/6.3 on the long end....

The EF-M 22 is really nice. No adapter needed.

Looking for a longer lens.....
Anybody using the EF-S 55-250 IS STM? Or should I just use my old 70-210 f/4 push/pull dust vacuum?

i don't think there are really many ef-m mount options for longer...there's the 55-200, and a tamron 18-300mm...both are f6.3 at the end though...i thought there was another superzoom 16-XXX, but i can't find anything on it now, so i may be confusing it with the tamron

Canon made a 22mm, 28mm Macro, 11-22mm, 15-45mm, 18-55mm, and a 55-200mm. There is an 18-200 Tamron lens also. Rokinon makes a 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm, and a 300mm lens. Some of the Canon lenses might have only been released in Asia.

I only use the 22mm on mine. I bought it to be small.

Found this (external link). Looks to be a complete list of EF-M lenses. Looks like Samyang is taking the M mount more seriously than Canon. :)

I have it and love it. But if you get the EF-M version, although *slightly* slower and *slightly* shorter, you'd have a much smaller package.
