I assume that's what this juvenile Robin was doing on this bird table. Unless he was saying, 'these are all mine, keep off them!'

Whatever it was it was confusing the Chaffinch in the background which was bending sideways to get a better look!

He's sun-bathing. I've seen birds do this before and it can be quite comical. At times they seem entranced. One theory is that it might help rid their plumage of certain parasites, but I don't know if anyone definitively knows why they do it.

Thanks. I thought similar, I just liked the idea of the bird laying claim to all the seeds, especially looking at his expression!
