Shot the 2016 Lumberjack World Championships in Hayward Wisconsin this past weekend. Boom running, log rolling, and other timbersports!

Cool! I always dug watching these games when they aired on TV. It's a shame they're not aired as much anymore.
Got any more shots?

The sport is slowly making its way back after a boom of sorts in the mid 2000s. There was a major pro tournament in Chicago this summer and Fox Sports Wisconsin televised two pro tournaments in the last two months. The amateur athletes who were just beginning to log roll and boom run in the mid 2000s are now at the age where they are beginning to turn pro and so the "echo" of the boomtimes is now hitting. 18 year old Ellie Davenport just won the female world championship and hopefully more of the younger athletes will give the sport a much-needed boost.

Here are two more shots. Torrin Hallet running the boom and sisters Abby Hoeschler and Lizzy Horvitz rolling for 3rd and 4th place.
