Saw this spotted deer on the campus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.

While we were birding in Coimbatore, we were in the scrub jungle on the leeward side of the Western Ghats when we happened upon a family of Indian Wild Boar. The rest of the family scurried off but this youngster stopped, turned back and stared at me. Time stood still while we contemplated each other before he joined his siblings and vanished.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

.

Hey, Sam

That deer is so cool looking! I love the complex coat; unlike any of our North American deer species.

Thanks for sharing!

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Thanks, Tom! I was fortunate enough to spend some time on the IIT campus visiting faculty - it is a wonderful place where the departments, the dorms, etc. are interspersed in a verdant jungle-like setting, totally cut off from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are many deer including the Indian black buck there, as well as an abundance of bird species.
