My daughter pointed this out for me. It was just resting on the coax cables on the side of the house. Sub-adult maybe?:

Spider was pretty big for the MPE-65, so switched over to the 100mm:

Thank you for the comments. Still hanging around this morning. Back to the MPE-65, about 4:1:

Thank you Lester. Because of how the spider was positioned above a door, I had to stand on a step stool and steady myself against the door whilst contorting my torso, camera, and flash. I'm using a 270 EXII with a small silver reflector above that is attached to a homemade milk jug diffuser that the lens pokes through. Kind of difficult to frame the shot against the door and under the top frame with all that going on, but the spider was patient with me. :-)

I would love to see a picture of your lighting setup!

No problem. Here's what I put together with a cheap reflector from Amazon and a milk jug:

Thanks for posting it. It's more elegant than I expected and looks quite functional.

You're welcome. Thanks, it seems to work pretty well for me. I like that it is quick to install and easy to use. No bad color cast either, in my experience.
