Did you ever wonder how they determined that some mushrooms are poisonous? Picture the scenario:

Jeb: Hey Zeke, do you think that mushroom is tasty?

Zeke: I don't know. Let's find out.

I just have to look at this one and you can guess which way I would bet. But I could be wrong.
