Probably only surprising for a naive country boy like me: The olympic games are also a big deal for Canon:

The pics are certainly cool - but the amazing thing for me was:

They’re also is also sending 78 technicians and support staff to Brazil for a month to assist photographers and broadcasters.

Can't they go for a month without their gear breaking apart?:twisted:

Wonder what happens to all that gear when the Olymics are over? Polished up and sold as new most probably.

I guess that I will have to get a larger knapsack for my Cannon gear in hear at RIO2016, but unfortunately, since I don't have a Press Credential they probably will not let me in the events...

So I guess that I will have to buy more beer for my friends to carry my extra lenses.
