I will soon get me a tablet to replace my old laptop, they all have wifi, some storage and most have a "camera" build in.
I would like to be able to use it with a docking station.

Any recomendations?

Other than the iPad, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is highly rated. Available in 8.0" and 9.7" size, and has
expandable memory (micro SD card). Thin and light weight, too.

It's also available in a cellular version, but these are usually only found in ATT or Verizon stores or Best Buy.

Not sure about a docking station. May need to do a search.

What about the quality of the build-in camera?

I can't say since I don't own the S2. I plan on buying it soon. Maybe others can answer.

Cameras on tablets generally suck compared to the ones found in modern smartphones. I have the Samsung Tab S2, and the camera is so-so. It's the best I've seen on a tablet, but I don't care to use it.

As far as it functioning as a tablet, the S2 is super fast and does well with multi-tasking using the split screen feature. I have the 8 inch version, and watch movies on half of the screen while browsing or reading on the other half. This process is very smooth. It is thin and lightweight, yet feels very premium.

The only complaint--which is a big one--is that the battery dies after fair use. Compared to my wife's iPad mini, I'd say it gets about 70% of the battery life that the iPad gets. If you can live with that, it is an excellent iPad alternative and perhaps the best bang for your buck tablet option.

Watch a movie and read at the same time. I could never do that! ;-)a

Thanks for the S2 comments, I hope to buy one soon.

Thnx for the replies. I will have a good look at the S2 and the ipad. Price difference is considerable, sufficient to get me an additional compact digital camera.

I went for the Samsung Galaxy S2, I am very happy with it. Got me a 128 GB micro SD card to store more books and photo's.
Tabs evolve faster than camera's, but for me it is not yet tempting to upgrade.

I have got an S2. The camera is okay in very good light. Autofocus not suited for action, bur in good light sufficient DOF will compensate for that. Resolution will do for a 8"*6" print.
