For those old enough to know, Evel Knievel's Snake River jump in 1974 was unsuccessful.

Now a 54 year old stunt man will attempt to make the jump. 400 mph and 3,000 feet in the sky!

He's gonna have a hard time impressing me. Last week a guy jumped out of an airplane at 25,000 feet. He did not take a parachute, nor acquire one on the way down. Freefall into a 100' x 100' net. Impact at terminal velocity. He survived completely uninjured. Nutjobs are everywhere.

Pfui! He could have done that with a Lear jet. If it didn't happen on a Harley, it didn't happen!

[GIFS ARE NOT RENDERED IN QUOTES]

Well, he did it in tribute to Evel Knievel. Although I doubt many people under the age of 35 know who Evel Knievel is.

That, along with the numerous extreme sports that exist today, may be why this jump got little mainstream media attention.

Still, I thought it was pretty cool. 8-)
