You get a lot of blown out whites. Do you shoot hot on purpose to keep the noise of the crop camera down?

I cover football for the paper. In some stadiums you almost need to use a flash. I bounce it.

Its prob my PP in LR
it will look fine on my screen and then hot on here
or it looks dark on here and I lighten it
or I just suck at it lol
prob that

Im struggling with this one
its dark at f4 with dark unis
I shot with a 1.4 tc to see if I could shoot at f4 at this stadium
its the same stadium as above
its 2 miles from my house and they have a ton of playoff games there
I can shoot there and at Baylor anytime I want
AD's are friends of mine

Im sure this one is dark Im trying to save it because of the rain
it may be hopeless

Question Burnett. Do you calibrate your monitor? I agree with the poster above that whites are blown out.

The photo you posted in the 7D2 thread looks better. What did you do differently to that photo?

Your other work don't have the whites blown out but you are pretty consistant here. I somtime blow them out a little if it is not in the part of the pic that is central to what I want everyone to see.

Do you use Lightroom? If so turn on the white and black warnings in the histogram.
