I tried searching for this, but wasn't finding much.

I have 2 off-camera flash, set to different groups on the same channel. I have 2 camera bodies, each with an on-camera flash that can control the OCF. From my own testing, I've found I can't have 2 master flashes going at the same time on the same channel (makes sense). I have to turn off the master flash of the body I'm not shooting with so that the other on-camera flash can link to OCF and act as master. This all makes sense, but is this the best way to work it?

I suppose I could put one OCF on channel X and the other on channel Y, then assign a master to each channel, but that isn't ideal. Thinking of using this at wedding receptions where I'd like the ability to fire 2 kickers at once.

How do you talented folks handle your OCF when shooting with 2 bodies? Or when shooting with someone else and you're sharing a set of OCF?

I'm pretty sure you can fire a slave with two different masters. What were your settings when you couldn't get this to work?

I don't have them with me now, but I'm pretty sure it was set up like this

OCF1: ch 1, gr C
OCF2: ch 1, gr D

Master1: ch 1, in Gr mode
Master2: ch 1, in Gr mode

When I had both masters on, only the first one turned on would link. Once I turned it off, the other master would link.

You can have multiple Master units in the Wireless RT system. The first one linked will have a GREEN link light and the other Master units will have a YELLOW link light.

I realize they're not the latest and greatest, but I use Yongnuo YN-622s. I've done exactly what you're trying to do with a 622 on each body (and of course one on each speedlight).

Thanks for confirming. It's been a while since I tried that.

Jose, try again and let us know if it worked for you.

IIRC, the 2nd master was showing a red light. Maybe I need to manually set it as a master. Thanks guys, I'll try it again tonight and report back.
