Multiple Exposure effect

I remember when I had my old film SLR that it had a multiple exposure mode where it would take several images without advancing the film. The result being they were all on the same picture.

I've taken several abstract shots with my 60D that I want to blend together. If I open them all in PS CS3 and drag them all onto one of the images should I be selecting Overlay and adjusting the opacity to let each one show through a bit or is there a better way to do this?

Don't limit yourself to Overlay. Try all the blend modes, you'll be astonished at some of the effects you find.

You can quickly cycle through the blend modes with Shift + Alt + +/-

I use "screen".

If you shot your source images in raw, you can convert them into linear 32bit files and blend them with the "Linear Dodge (Add)" mode (each linear image on a layer) and then tone map the resulting composite into a 16bit image. This will add each exposure in a physically correct manner and you can control clipping in areas where the exposures add to a very high value in the composite.

Don't forget you can also clip the layer to the layer below for various effects.
