Such lens does exist - and that's the OP's lens (Samyang 12mm fisheye). It has stereographic projection according to lenstip:

http://www.lenstip.com …8_ED_AS_NCS_Fish-eye.html (external link)

Thanks ! Didn't know it was a stereographic one.
I'll check the reviews... let's see if the good old Canon 15mm is going to have a new owner ;)
---
UPDATE: I have checked the lenstip review, and it seems the lens is not that great at the edge of the frame.
I wonder if they got a bad copy.
I own its smallest brother (the 8mm f/2.8 for APS-C NEX) which is also stereographic and optically amazing, although a different optical design.
Need more reviews.

Her something like the rok 14 or wider and do fish in post? I figure fish is so gimmicky, that you might as well do in post and use the UWA the rest of the 99%time you shoot.

You can't do fish in post with a rectilinear lens, because it is impossible to capture a 180-degree FOV. A big portion of the frame would be blank.

Great user reviews for Samyang 12mm fisheye on B&H, from all mounts: https://www.bhphotovideo.com …m_c_12mm_f_2_8_ed_as.html (external link)

If I upgrade to FF this lens will be my obvious upgrade path from my current 8mm Samyang.

Regarding defishing - I tried it with my 8mm fisheye, and the corner sharpness is way worse than with my rectilinear UWA, Sigma 10-20mm, so I kept both lenses.

I dont mean a 180 FOV, just a gimmicky fish effect in post. Only issue is the vision you see in a fisheye vs post, and of course if you print, probably unacceptable.

A lot of fisheyes can't do 180 FOV either...

Then they're not real fisheyes. All of the fisheye lenses I've seen are 180 if used on the intended format camera.

There's a huge gap between the FOV of something like an EF 14mm and a fisheye. That's what makes them useful.

what about the fisheye zoom? is that 180 all the time?

What makes them useful is the non-rectilinear effect, not the field of view.... Do you think the Nikon 6mm fisheye is not a fisheye because it has a 220 degree field of view? What about the EF 8-15, it's obviously not 180 degrees at all focal lengths.

It will do 180 on both full frame and aps-c formats.
