With SA in economic doldrums, surely there's a Japanese whaling ship further south to harass?

Quite the opposite, they take themselves waaaayy too seriously.

Without delving into the politics, the pirate symbol they have accosted is very, very apt.

I took this shot purely due to the fact I've not seen it before. Their politics lose me past chasing illegal whalers.
They have no respect for much as shown by the political point scoring of flying the Indigenous flag above the National flag. Illegally
I'd actually enjoy watching them flounder if a port would actually deny them access.

I've been a sailor my whole life (recreational), my father & grandfather both worked on the seas and the amount of fundamental maritime laws they break are insane.

No-where else are people allowed to go vigilante, so I cannot fathom (no pun intended) why the authorities allow them to do it on the seas. It seams like everyone just passes the buck because they don't want to deal with the uproar from their small, but loud supporters.
