A first for me. According to my Sibley's Guide these are juvenile/immature birds.

Love the angle of the first one as it is digging for crustaceans.

Ive only seen one of these briefly, so its nice to see a good photo with plenty of detail showing off this wader well.

very nice John- shorebirds remain almost impossible for me to ID with any accuracy
