Can anyone recommend a non Canon transceiver that will work with a Canon 270EX II flash.
I picked up this flash and thought it would work with the Cactus V5 transceiver units I have but, it doesn't.
Using it with the Canon 6D, that's why the transceiver is being used.

It will not attach to the transceiver without having to really force it on.
My Canon 430EX II attaches to the same transceivers with very little effort.

The contacts on the mounting foot of the 2 flashes appear to be the same configuration so I don't know why the 270 won't attach to the transceiver.
Both flashes attach to the 6D with no problem.

Hrm,

Really odd? The 270EXII is so small, adding a transceiver to it seems like an odd thing, especially using it off camera, since it's not all that powerful like your 430EXII.

I assume you want TTL and all off camera capable, so some used Yongnuo 622's will do that. Or for very cheap, some basic YN RF603c's will do it (without TTL).

Very best,

Very best,

There are couple of reasons why I want a transceiver that will work with the 270II.
I more or less want to experiment and see if I can get the results I want.

Nothing studio related.

I've ordered a pair of Yongnuo YN622C II.
I got the 270 on sale for a good price so that offsets some of the transceivers cost.

Thanks for the suggestions.
