Hello Macro Subforum - i don't think i have ever posted in here.

i have recently been having fun with a bit of macro stuff - using a Leica M240 rangefinder (focusing using the live view on the screen) a DIY extension tube (body cap and lens cap glued back to back with a hole bored through) and a Yongnuo ring flash (for canon, in manual mode)
Not the easiest to use Macro rig - but capable of 1:1 my old Olympus 28f2.8 on an OM-M adapter

these were taken with the Leica 50mm Summarit, and are crops from a 1:2 frame as the working distance of the 28 was scaring the bees away before i could focus

The results look good to me! There are many ways to skin a cat and do macro. There might be easier ways, but carry on!

Mine is the Canon version, just using it in manual mode on the Leica
