Very pleased with a pair of the Flashpoint FPBF120 monolights. Good bargain and good performance.

Examples, using twin umbrellas.

Looks good,

I have a couple of these lights too, the budget series 120Ws. I like that they have a decent modeling light, and they're good enough for small close proximity stuff. I use them in 31" & 47" brolly boxes, they lose light doing that, but still do the job for portrait and product stuff that I use them for. I was using speedlites but ultimately grabbed these since they're $50 shipped form Adorama, and they just stay permanently plugged in, I just flip on a powerstrip and they kick on and go to work.

My only complaint is the inability to turn off the audible beep when it's ready to fire.

I find mine to also run on the warm side of the Kelvin range.

There were of course other options, but I went with the Flashpoint because of Adorama's customer service, warranty, and return options, whereas if I got the same lights from China, I'd have none of that, even though it's the same rebranded light.

+++++

Just to add some more examples for these lights:

Was getting F8 light from the light in a 47" brolly box.

Very best,
