I'm curious as well. I called Canon and she checked into it extensively. She said it's still shipping tomorrow and it must be something going on with BH. I noticed it's even delayed at Amazon. Uninformed rep maybe?

So any news if its shipped yet anyone? Or is it delayed till Dec? I saw two on eBay selling for 1399 & 1495 which is ridiculous even if they have the gray market version.

I saw this in the shop in Philippines yesterday. Its a kit lens together with 5D Mark IV. They are selling this much cheaper than in the States. Cash price of php192,500 (or US$3,986) for Mk IV + 24-105. For Mk IV only is php165000 (or US$3,415). So effectively the lens is only $571 if you buy it as set. This comes with 3 years local Canon warranty. Very tempting.

B&H is shipping the 5D4 + 24-105 II kits. However, the bare lens still has an estimated ship date in December. Perhaps the ones on ebay are from people splitting the kits.

Image editing ok; C&C always welcome.

Wow, good deal if it's really the new version of the lens. Too bad they're not offering any kit discount as far as I'm aware in the states.

Yes, it is the new version. Slightly cheaper for 20-70 combo. I was surprised too they offer big discount for kit.

I have not looked at all of them, but they look bloody sharp.

I think the camera used is a 5DSR

I'll probably pick this up to be my only zoom lens. I need IS and f4 not a big deal anymore with the 5d4. I have the primes for everything else.

Just waiting for the 900 range before I do and see what the reviews is like

Still not seeing a 600 difference between new and old.

I never had the old one, so it's all beer and skittles to me. :-)

I read his comments so I will be very curious to Read what Bryon thinks at digital picture. He says its sharp in center but soft in the corners. Thats no good for me. Says it has barell issues at F/4 if i read that right.

My original 24-105 is 7-8 yrs old, its pretty sharp and I dont have some of the issues other complained about. So waiting to see bryons review before i buy. It was a lens on my list of considerations along with the 16-35 F/4 IS

But if its not a marked improvement over the current 24-105 then I will hold on to what I have. Hoping Canon didnt put the lens coat on the glass and call it a day. It should have the updated IS on it but I have had stellar results with the current 24-105...My most used zoom. This IS on the current lens is pretty darned good
