Had a 10% off coupon and the grip was $349, so I consider it a free grip lol :p I did get the 3 year coverage too, I haven't bought a camera from Best Buy since my 50D but a friend bought a 60D with coverage, managed to damage it beyond repair while on a vacation and they just gave him an 80D to replace it. Worth the $299 IMHO

Best buy warranties are great. I'm on my 5th vacuum cleaner and just keep taking them back when they mess up and they give me all my money back to buy another.

I use best buy alot. I don't mind them. Helps I buy alot of stuff work work from them on my company card. Work pays it... I get the benefit of the points :)

That too! I take advantage of any and all 0 percent financing options. I use my paypal credit mostly. The best buy thing is the only reason I have nice TV's in my house lol. Also easy returns (within the period) is nice vs having to ship back and/or covering return shipping.

Glad you seem to have got yours sorted out.......mines due back tomorrow....fingers crossed.

thanks mate, been shooting around the house everything seems good so far...even my sigma 50 art behaving better with outer point so i'm not really sure if any adjustments were actually made to the body itself or just the lenses

i still need more test with the 70-200 tho

Was out at lunch time testing the 100-400 II further. At one point the camera showed busy (as when the buffer is full) but stayed this way for a minute or so, then I got "ERROR 02 -" something about a new card or re-format the current one :o Then the red light stayed on and that was that. Had to remove the battery to get back in again.

This is my brand new 128GB Sandisk Extreme Pro 95mbs SD card. I was shooting in quiet continuous mode (which is what surprised me about the buffer being full).

Strange. Same card I use. No problems with it so far. Often same lens combo too.

Yeh, seems it is a memory card specific error on CPS site. I did format it last night too. :| but as I only had that car with me I carried on afterwards, no problems. Maybe a bad sector.

I hope it isn't specific to this card. I use it in the 7D2 but just picked up a bunch more when I got the 5D4.

I had a similar issue with a SanDisk CF card on my 5D3, they replaced the card for me and no more issues.

Just got back from a photo walk that was a pretty good test for the card. No issues.

An update from CPS Germany.

"Dear Mr. Burton,

Thank you for your answer.

Actually, we received some feedback from other customers over the years with the same issue. This happens then when only the TC is to the camera attached. In this case, you have an “open circuit” and the camera will keep trying to communicate – even is the camera is switched of – through the TC with the Lens, which is not attached. This will happen not with all gears, but from time to time, we receive some feedback like yours. The ON/OFF switch works not a real switch, but it is actually a “software-switch”, so the camera can continue communicate with the other components.

In these cases, we recommend to attach also the lens to the TC. Due to the length of your gear, this will not the best option for you. Either you take the battery out from the camera, or you attach the TC direct to the lens, without the camera.

You can also try to reset the camera to the factory settings (clear all camera settings).

We hope to have helped you."

So, we are aware of the problem and can do/will do nothing about it.

I'm not convinced there isn't a problem with the new LP-E6N batteries. The first time I charged the battery that came with my 5DIV, it discharged itself completely overnight, left in the camera (135L attached, camera turned off). Since then I've left the battery out of the camera, but I went to use it today and it's down to 8% (from ~70%) in a week. My 6 year old LP-E6 does considerably better than that.

Not convinced about the CPS reply. Mainly as I never noticed this with other bodies.
