Same with a canon when it runs out of battery

I just booked a model for a shoot this saturday in the hopes of the 5d4 being in my hands. if its not then i will revert to using my Sony A7r2 for the shoot

Actually I'm just getting angrier. I sent my check via USPS to my supplier last wednesday and so far the package has stalled in houston and has not been delivered. No payment = no camera. Really sucks. fixing to have to buy one on my credit card and then I'll end up with two.

Well completely disagree with that statement

The problem is

1- every credible editing program on the market is designed for Raw file use

2- Color,Color and Color. Digital sensors still do whacky things with color, no matter how close you get it in camera

Noise control at Higher ISO's.... you know more than anyone ow important a raw file is for these needs

Raw is going no where and rightly so. But I agree Jpeg has come a long long way. For sports, little need for a raw file

At todays exchange rate of £1=$1.34, that's $4822 or £987 more in the UK than the USA. Talk about being ripped off.

I just spoke with someone from Profeel (PMI Digital) a few minutes ago to see if they would ship out early and they told me they're shipping on Thursday and that Canon won't allow anyone to ship earlier than 9/8. Who knows if everyone will follow this restriction.

Is VAT included? Even in the US it will cost more than $3499 depending on location and local sales taxes.

First post in a while, but I'm happy to share that I am joining the 5D club! I jumped all over it a couple hours after B&H opened up their pre-order, hoping to have one before the weekend, but who knows...

If everything checks out I'll have a nice 6D for sale pretty soon

When I was moving to FF, I really wanted a 5Diii but couldn't justify the cost at the time, especially when I felt like the 6D would serve me well until the iv was released. I am really looking forward to better/more focusing points, video (even if rarely used) and touch screen. Really wish the touch screen was swivel/rotate/tilt - whatever you want to call it, but oh well.

It's just a hobby for me and I rarely buy latest/greatest so I'm a little nervous...

Also, after reading these latest posts about early shipment I decided to give B&H chat a go and I was told that the first ones would be shipped on 9/8. I tried to see where I was in line and while they said they couldn't tell me my exact position, they said it was likely I'd be in the first shipment

(edit) My 135L or Sigma 35 1.4 will be my first shots, depending on when I receive it!

Putting my 5DIII up for sale today and moving up to this thing. Preordered on Adorama yesterday, but I'm hoping that I'm magically on the list to get theirs shipped on Thursday. This thing looks too good on paper to pass up! Some of the same attributes that my 7DII has helped sell it to me. It amazes me how many videos and comments I have seen bashing this thing when it hasn't even come out yet. Regular, everyday people are putting long videos up on YouTube talking about how disappointed they are in Canon and this camera when they haven't even touched it yet hahahaha! I think people are mad that something new and potentially amazing is out and it will take away from their omnipotent equipment, making them feel inadequate. If it's anything like the 5DIII with some improvements here and there then Im pretty sure that I won't be disappointed... Any solid new upgrade is icing on the cake.
