Not as bad, but still about five hundred bucks more. It would have been ~£250 cheaper with the medium-term historical rate of £1.44 don1163 wrote in post #18119145 Panamoz website is doing the 5D4 for £2,990 with a 3 year UK warranty.... I know its a grey import but from what Ive heard they are a very good company to deal with.... don1163 wrote in post #18119156 I will be using them when I buy mine....massive saving on the UK price I've not used Panamoz. I've bought a lot of gear (including my 5D3) from HDEW Cameras - again import, but never had any problems (all are registered with Canon's CPN program). It would certainly make financial sense to hold off for a while and pick one up on import and you'd save hundreds of pounds, but desire has overtaken common sense this time Camera, some lenses, too little time, too little talent

Given Canon's track record, some issue is going to crop up in the first few weeks of customer testing. Not sure how Canon's going to deal with a warranty-less camera. Not sure why, but call me JJ.

It's true. In the USA tax is rarely shown on the price of anything. Where is Europe the price shown is what you pay. I like that a whole lot better. Jim

I bought the 5D3 long after the light leak issue was identified (and, IRC, the first firmware fixes had been released). That said, my 5D3 has been to Canon UK for a faulty lens to be fixed and tweaked to the body (the body also had a service) and that was no problem. Sep 06, 2016 18:15 | #1214 My worry with buying a grey import is Canon refusing to cover under warranty. My 5D3 had to go for repair less than a month after buying it for a broken cf slot - they wanted all but my inside leg measurements to repair it... _______________
