I bought the 5D3 long after the light leak issue was identified (and, IRC, the first firmware fixes had been released). That said, my 5D3 has been to Canon UK for a faulty lens to be fixed and tweaked to the body (the body also had a service) and that was no problem. Sep 06, 2016 18:15 | #1214 My worry with buying a grey import is Canon refusing to cover under warranty. My 5D3 had to go for repair less than a month after buying it for a broken cf slot - they wanted all but my inside leg measurements to repair it... _______________
