The first 2 people didn't notice. The runner either didn't notice either, or just didn't care, because he never even turned his head :-P

Not the greatest shots, I just thought it was mildly amusing.

Dear Crimzon,

I like them a great deal because they illustrate how often people today seem to be totally unaware of their surroundings.

I take great pleasure in observing the things around me each and every day. When I'm with a group of people I often see things that none of them recognize without me prompting them. If only I could do better catching with the camera what catches my eye? ;-)a

Regards,

Tim Murphy

insufferably pedantic. I can live with that.

And the people in Crimzon's deer photos aren't even looking down at their little screens!

Thanks guys. There were actually more people, who also didn't notice either! Not enough time to change lenses, so I wasn't able to get them in the frame, or in context of them not noticing. If you see the exif, you can see I had a macro lens on, head down, shooting flowers within inches, and even I noticed it walk by.

Some of them probably went home that day, and complained they went to the local forest, and didn't even see anything

It's so true though. Last year photographing woodpeckers, I came across a nest near a footpath. So I set up my tripod, and so not to be a path hog I st it up on the outside edge of the path. The path happened to elbow, so you could see about 100 feet in both directions. I had 10 different people get 6 feet from me, jump out of their skin and practically scream. I was not wearing camo, the side of the trail was not thick with tall grass, I had a flashy coat and a big tripod with my white 4005.6 on. I still can't fathom how they possibly couldn't see me. I never called anyone out, but I was thinking in my head "what, are you blind?" I wanted someone to take a picture of me, just to show how obvious I was.
