I upload my raw files to my desktop and then import them into Lightroom where they are converted into DNG files and stored on the desktop in a folder called DNG.
I recently added a new harddrive to my computer and copied the folder DNG to the new drive and then deleted the original file from my desktop to free up space on my C drive.
Now when I open Lightroom it does not find the original DNG files as I have changed the location of the folder to another drive.
How can I point Lightroom towards the relocated folder?
Probaby fairly easy to do but I have no idea....

Many thanks....

Try looking in C:\Users\userprofile\Pictures\Lightroom

obviously the "userprofile" need to be replaced by yours. Inside that Ligthtroom folder you should have your catalog. Or simply try in mypictures. Depend the configuration, i dont remember the default.

LR can't find the files if you didn't move them via LR. All LR file management must be done through LR. I've learned my lesson.

If you haven't already found this yet, it is very simple to do what you need. Simply go to an image in the highest level of a folder tree, and click on the ? in the LR Library grid view. This will open a dialogue box that will allow you to browse for the current location of the file. There is also a tick box for find adjacent files, tick this and OK the file that you are locating. LR will look in this folder, and all the subfolders and identify all the other "missing" images too. Ideally you should be doing all of your image file management from within LR.
