First time shooting an 8 month pregnant lady. What do you think? I think no.1 needs the shadows on her jeans lifted a bit when I see it on my ipad, but on my monitor it looks better. no. 2 may be too dark? no.3 i'd like to reduce highlights on them a bit. Am I right?

Judging IQ/colors on a IPad is an exercise in futility.

I know, I was just having a look because that's the medium she's going to use to see them. My monitor is ips and calibrated and they look ok. Just wanted opinions :-)

Your colors vary between images.
Always, when I do my rare portrait, I use...http://xritephoto.com/colorchecker-passport-photo (external link)
to absolutely guarantee correct colors.

Will look into it.I did want to change a bit the color temp between indoors and outdoors, so there was a bit of a variety. Do you think this should't be done?. Of most of the shots in the garden I think I achieved similar colors between them

I am not suggesting that the individual RGB numbers be the same inside and outside.

Cool, It's always good to learn, and I can only that when I make mistakes :). I really appreciate your input and will definitely have a closer look at them at home in LR to keep them as close as possible. I saw that that colorchecker is 80 quid on amazon. Anybody know a cheaper alternative? Would a grey card do or is it better to have a card with the different colours too?

A gray card will work...simply have the subject hold it while taking the first shot...don't change the lighting.

Will try it. Up to recently i was adjusting one image and then copying the white balance values for the shots within the same scene. If the light changes, the gray card helps too?
