Iceberg at sunset and light painting

The first image is a 20 sec exposure, taken just after sunset. The second image taken a few hours later, is a 300 sec light painting exposure. A 20 million candlepower spotlight was used to illuminate the iceberg, approximately 1/4 km away.

This thread isn't for comparison but rather to show two types of photography of the same subject and landscape.

Both are very cool shots, but I lean towards the first. Awesome color and light. Well done.

First is really cool. Looks slightly noisy.....maybe its just me

A nice comparison. I wish the iceberg in the light painting shot showed a bit more context as now it sort of hangs there and there's no depth in the image, but very cool just the same and well done.

Interesting experiment with the second one, but it just doesn't work: it could be anywhere and anything, doesn't really look like an iceberg.
