Hey y’all,
I just picked up a Samyang 14mm 2.8 that I want to use on my a7r2. got it yesterday afternoon from Amazon and did some test shots. I just seem to have issues either getting focus or the lens is just soft. Have any of you had any dealings with this lens on your sony? If it’s a soft lens, I’d just send it back. If you all have a better recommendation for an economical lens for landscape (something wide), please let me know.
thanks
-will

I've got same lense, on A7S though.

But you probably just need to find where exactly on the scale infinity focus actually is for your camera.

For my one it's on 0.7m on the scale, so I always just set it to that.

I think it's a really nice lense, usually use it at F8 or F11 but it seems reasonable at F2.8 too.
