I just was wondering if any 80D owners have had any over heating issues with the 80D while shooting video?
I'm currently using a Panasonic GH3 for my video rig. I do not shoot video for serious applications. I shoot as a recreational videographer usually for voluntary purposes.
As I run and gun I do rely on auto focus. This is where most camera's out there will hunt.
I have never had any over heating issues documenting my daughters piano recital (school function over 1.5hrs) As a limitation of 30 minutes I can stop and restart with no problems at all.
I was curious if there are any canon 80D users that shoot over an extended period of time? Any over heating issues?
I was planning on buying a Fuji X-T2 but it will not fit my needs in video because I'm doubtful it'd surpass Canon's killer dual pixel technology.
I'm considering on buying the X-T2 and compromise on video AF performance but appreciate it's stills and fast AF. If I purchase the 80D it will be more of my video rig with rock solid AF for all of my video needs.
My main concern is battery life for video and the Canon seems to be the best solution. Just concerned if there's any over heating issues. The Sony A6300 is definitely not a consideration due to over heating issues.
