On the head shot his right eye is not in focus. The lack of focus in his right eye stands out to me because his left eye is has such sharp focus. Perhaps this shot needs just a touch more DOF. Otherwise a very nice shot.

The lighting is VERY nice in both images. Agreed on the eye. Also his eyes are almost dead center horizontally in the frame, a no no in portraiture. Keep it up!

The second one is a real winner!
The first one might be helped with a 8x10 crop to get rid of some of the empty space above his head.
