That would be wonderful to see!!

Yes, it’s pretty incredible on the inside as well. Hot and cold running water and heating. Electric lights as well, but I’m not sure when they were introduced.

A castle ruins in Almere. They started to build in 2000 and stopped in 2002. There was no money anymore. In 2022 they sold the ruins and the new owners wants to start a monastry and horeca.

In that time we had a boat and saw them starting to build the castle, but after a few years they stopped building. With the boat we could sail very close along the building ground. A pity they stopped. i hope the new project will be a succes.

Thank you. Yes, Neuschwanstein is definitely worth a visit if you can get there. South of Munich, then south of Garmisch-Partenkirschen near the border with Austria. Worth the effort if you can make it.

A Martello tower. Built to keep the American off the Plains of Abraham again. They didn't work very well since I was there.

I have a bunch of castle pics from when I lived in Scotland in the early 1990's. They're all on film, obviously, but I scanned some and I'll try to dig a few out.

Here's one I had posted previously. This is Castle Stalker, along the west cost of Scotland north of Oban. It might be more recognizable to forum readers as Castle AAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!

I have an orange cat and a brown cat. In HSL, they're both orange.

We ran across this castle as well on our Scotland vacation in 2015 in the area of Broadford. Scotland is FANTASTIC for castle exploration. Many have been restored and there are also many relics that really enhance the landscape.
