I was at Agawa Bay in Ontario (this is between Sault Saint Marie and Wawa, along the Trans Canada Highway. I went out to the beach around 10:00 to see if the stars might be interesting to shoot, and I found about a third of the sky was glowing green with the northern lights.
I was kind of surprised that such an intense show would appear so far south. Anyone else see much in the way of activity from the sun on September 1? In any case, here is one shot of it. I like that you can clearly see the big dipper through the glow of the aurora.
