Nov 15, 2016 01:49 | #17 It was cloudy all day and the forecast was heavy clouds / overcast. A few minutes before moon rise the sky cleared and we got this magnificent view of the ''super moon'' rising above the Acropolis of Athens IMAGE LINK: https://www.flickr.com …0995402775/in/photostreamMoonrise over the Acropolis of Athens Ανατολή Σελήνης πάνω απο την Ακρόπολη

My attempts at a full moon rising with a subject in the foreground have always come out with the foreground subject too dark. How are you getting so much light on the foreground? Clay

If the foreground subject is not illuminated, you can't do many things. If the difference between the subject and the moon is 3-4 fstops you can balance it with photoshop. The main thing though ( and this is the most difficult ) is to find the date and time that when the moon rises, the sun is 4-6 degrees max. below the horizon ( roughly 18'-30' after sunset ) so that there is still some light . All these are single frame photos. Some people create similar ones by merging more frames with different exposures
