Sand Dollars

Playing with B&W conversion. Would appreciate any advice for improvment. Thank you.

I think that it needs more contrast it looks a little flat try to bring out the shapes of the petals on the shells. The larger shell has something on the top left petal that could be removed.

The histogram says no, but the lighter parts on the left sides look clipped on my monitor. They lack detail.

Ok, I'll try some more contrast. And yes, I did miss that "trash?" on the shell..I'll clone that out.

I see what you're saying...I'll mess with it some more and try to get more detail.

Highlights look fine here. Just more contrast, says I.

A good monitor does make a difference. I wrote my earlier remark based on what I saw on my work computer. At home, I wouldn't have made the same observation.
