Gotta be better than this. From a few years ago but we are catching up to the snow accumulation with 3 blizzards in the last month. We hit -48 Celsius with the windchill last week. We finally got a break with the deep freeze so I'm going to try and get out and do some shooting.

Seriously man... I would swap in a nano second. I hate the heat. I live in the wrong state in the wrong country,

I have seen snow once when I was a little kid when my parents to me to the mountains.

Nah, gotta disagree there. I'm sure in your cold climate, everyone has a heater to keep warm but out here in Oz, not everyone has air conditioning to keep cool & you can't dress for 40 celsius & be cool but you can dress for the cold & be warm. Also, when drinking beer, it warms up too much when it's 40 celsius

Thats why we have so many problem drinkers.

The negative thing is winter brings out all the getting old aches and pains. I was in Costa Rica for a month last January and that all went away.

LOL...yep, in my short time with the 5DIV that happened to me too...it was odd and took a while for it to occur to me...glad you got it figured out.

haha  it was a relief when i did figure it out. I told the subject, got a laugh and took his pic, it was a nice moment.

What?? How does that happen? Is live view open at the same time you put your face to the viewfinder?

I look through the viewfinder to set the focus point, when doing so my nose is hitting the touch screen on the back, no live view.

Were on the metric system but we still can a quarter pounder with cheese. Not like the Royale in Paris :-) You would would have had to seen Pulp Fiction to get that one.

Finally got a big break in the weather. I have yet to test BIF. This is a bad time of year for this. No decent size birds to really work on. In the next few days I'm going to head down some country roads and hunt for owls.

I had to settle for metal ones. AF was fast and all frames consistent. 100-400 II and 1.4 III AF was small zone.

28 shots for this first plane. Shutter speed was a tad fast.
