GeorgeZip My neighbours are looking at me a bit strangely More info | Feb 18, 2017 06:34 | #1925 LoneRider wrote in post #18276895 I posted this in the thread about 5D4 compatibility with YongNuo flashes but since it doesn't get a lot of traction, I thought I would put the info here as well. I have three Yongnuo YN600EX-RT flashes and the YN-E3-RT. Two of the flashes and the transmitter were bought in Apr 2015, the third flash in Jan 2016. None of them worked on my EOS-M3, M5, or my G5x. Everything worked fine on my 6D and 7D Mark II. Initially nothing worked on my 5D Mark IV. I upgraded the firmware on everything and they worked in ETTL both on camera with the 5D Mark IV and being controlled off camera with the YN-E3-RT. In manual mode, I get an error when trying to change the settings from the 5D4 (both flash on camera and off with YN-E3-RT on camera), but the settings do change on the flash and they work. The upgraded flashes and YN-E3-RT now work with the EOS-M5 as well. Same thing, error message making changes in manual, but the changes are made. I no longer have the M3, so I don't know about compatibility there, my guess is they would do the same. Still no go on the G5x with either after upgrade. I sold off one of the flash units with my 7D Mark II, and ordered one of the newly released YN600EX-RT II units to replace it. I received the ver II unit today and it works without issue on camera (both 5D4 and M5). No errors changing settings in manual mode. Off course, the YN-E3-RT still gives errors in manual, but it works with the ver II flash as well. Exposure seems to be good in ETTL, and adjustable in manual. The ver II model also works in ETTL with my G5x, on camera only though, the YN-E3-RT does nothing. I am tempted to pick up a new YN-E3-RT to see if a newer manufactured one will work. They are only $75 or so on Amazon and if it doesn't work it can be returned. Happily back to full multi-flash capabilities for less than the cost of a single Canon 600EX. I may still end up buying a 430EX-RT III, at $239 refurb from Canon, it won't break the bank and would be a better fit size-wise for the G5x. Thanks for the info

DCBBPhotography Cream of the Crop More info | Feb 19, 2017 10:26 | #1928 I just got back from Antigua. This is a shot of Devil's Bridge on the eastern coast of the island. It has a pretty interesting local history. The island was primarily sugar plantations in the 1800's and the labor was slave labor. Apparently people would escape the plantations and come to this place to commit suicide, jumping off the natural arch. That is the origin of the name. Morbid history, but a very unique place to visit. John

DaviSto ... sorry. I got carried away! More info | This is a great photograph ... but it also set me thinking. The truth is that through my own eyes I would never (not even when I was much younger) see red 5 or blue 8 anything like as sharply as I can in this image. David.

DCBBPhotography Cream of the Crop More info | Yea it is. I heard the story from a gentleman who i believe descended from those very people. It makes you think, and also a little astounded that the local people on the island are so fun loving. Spent a fair bit of time with the locals even though we were "secluded" at Sandals. Had a wonderful time. John
