Here is the original unedited version. I edited the same image twice. One edit for the sky and another edit for the mountain range. Then brought the two together in Photoshop. The goal was to capture the milky way in a light polluted sky and bring to life as Phoenix is only 38 miles from this location.

I think that plant is a bit too bright now and is distracting from the background which is the interesting part imo

You might be right about that.

Great shot of the Hwy 53 bridge!
Crossed that one many times visiting and staying with friends on Lake Ranch Drive.

Playing around with the new 5D IV. Not 100% sure on keeping it, mainly due to the price tag. It's all fun and games until that bill comes :)

I'm dog sitting so I shot this tonight. I focused on the face, but I'm wondering if the grass blades below are sharper. I may play around with the AF micro adjustment.

Either way, it's clear this camera blows my 7D II out of the water on quality and low light performance/noise. AH! Still a tough decision.

This is exactly what made me sell my 7D2 after I bought the 5D4.

If I don't want to mess around with forums/ebay sales, I can get a quick $750 by selling to a store online. So 3299-750=$2549 for my 5D. That makes me feel a lot better, but I'm afraid I'll miss the 7DII speed. I took it out last night at an event and kept jamming up even the 7D's buffer. But I really could have done without the highest RAW setting.

The 5D4 street price is $2999 and average for the 7D2 is around $900

Yeah, but after fees from paypal/ebay and the possible hassle, sometimes I just prefer to go to keh and be done.

Upper Salt River in Arizona

This image was done with lens correction...not something I normally do with a fisheye, but it worked here.
