Don t forget to mention any impressively swollen ankles....

I’ll photograph those as well.

With a wide angle.

Another low-res image from last night...we didn't realize until half way through that Ashley's dress had a material that acted as a bubble wand...we decided to keep the shots as all the little bubbles gave it an organic look...we both come to the surface and are trying to figure out where all the bubbles are coming from...then we realize and have a good laugh...

Just packaged my 5D4 up for a trip back to Canon. Out shooting today, and the rear dial (set to shutter speed) instead started to raise/lower ISO. I couldn't change shutter speed until I reset all settings and took out the battery; rear dial controlled shutter speed again after that, but the dial was in reverse, and wouldn't go faster than 1/20.

Coupled with the repair from last month to fix inconsistent AF, camera hasn't been dependable for a few months.

Camera is back, Canon stated that they replaced the entire "top cover & buttons", hot shoe, and shutter button. Basically half of the outside of the camera is fresh and new, even smells BNIB :) Really fast service, and best part is that it was a complimentary repair. Not sure what I did to get on their good side, but this could have been a hugely expensive repair, and I'm thankful for the pro-bono work. When it comes time for fixing your gear, this level of customer service really makes you appreciate Canon and how they operate.

Now, having said all that, I'm hoping my 5D4 is back to good. Haven't tested it on any birds yet ;-)a

Thank you Lame-Duck, I appreciate the comment...The model (my daughter in this case) has a lot going on to make it look like she doesn't... I think it is more challenging for the model than the photographer with this form of underwater photography.

Yesterday I seen Dr. Okun from the Independence Day movie. While waiting for my wife to retire I drove customer shuttle for a dealership and a few years ago he was one my customers. On the way to the University I learned he was the dean of education and later a cousin of good friends of ours.

At my goddaughters grad. Talk about a doppleganger.

I made a decision to get better at off camera flash. So I got a mannequin (so I do not have to torment my daughter) and I try and practice most days. I am getting quicker and can set up a shot in about 3-4 minutes including pulling out the stands.

My neighbours are looking at me a bit strangely.

For this sort of stuff I am just using cheap manual flash's and they work great. This is all in camera. Not ground breaking I know but I am getting a little better every time.

Before and after.

That mannequin looks like Elaine from Seinfeld. ;).

Trying out some higher ISOs. This one at 25600. Taken in Nova Scotia, Canada from my cottage dock. Mars on the lower left, Jupiter on the upper right. The lens was a Rokinon 14mm 2.8. It didn't appear in the list of lenses for EXIF, so I used Samyang, which I think is the same lens.

Nice work! The diagonal trails in the water really make it more 3D than most night shots!
