Hope Richard won't mind. Since if we're cropping, might as well alter the light a bit. (little 15-second edit to change the warmth).

I flip flop between warm and more contrasty looks.

I think I personally prefer the more contrasty look. Maybe because it is a little different than what you see for this sort of stuff. Dunno. I will probably change again.

My customers like them which is the main thing.

The other thing worth mentioning is a lot of them want big prints. I have found that if everything is tight then they will be less inclined to print large. I get that, it’s a bit weird to see a big print closeup of yourself hanging on the wall.

This heron loves hiding in the bushes and I'm sure he knows when I haven't got my long lens on the camera. Heavy crop.

Was having some issues with tethering yesterday, wondering if anyone can help. Had the camera connected and Lightroom was recognizing the camera. Id take a pic and immediately the laptop icon would come into the screen of the camera. The image would go through to the laptop but only show as a grey square. I tried and tried again but it didnt work. Randomly took the memory card out of the camera and boom the files would transfer! anyone know why this is suddenly happening

I really like Canon DPP rename tool. Very simple and easy to use.
I change the file prefix every 10,000 shots. I'm not too anal about it, if it's at 9600 I'll change before 10,000.
At the same time I don't worry if it rolls over knowing DPP will let me rename fast. There are plenty of filename rename tools but a lot of them have quirks and take a bit of experimenting to get the result you want.

I use EOS Utility to import and have it set to rename on import. I use the date and time, then 3 digits after the second, which makes numbering up to 999 images in a second available. I know that I only need 2 digits for 14fps, but the zero gives my eyes a bit of a break. That way, the card numbering system is invisible to me and I can see exactly when the shot was taken by its title.
